Teamwork
After a little over 2 decades in the metal fabricationtrade, it still amazes me what incredibly things trades people create every day. When I look around and see our houses, buildings, schools, and shoppingcentres.I see what was once an idea, a set of plans, thousands of components assembled, hundreds of sets of hands at work, and many different mastered skilled all working together to create something solid, appealing, and practical.Having spent so long in and around these places during the construction phase, I have developed an appreciation for the effort and intricacies that make up our infrastructure and the things we built. And having worked with a lot of businesses and even more people over time it’snot hard to recognise that one of main ingredients to a successful project of any size is Teamwork.
Today our business operates on projects large and small, from supply & install of a single pedestrian gate for a homeowner, to metal work packages for new buildings such as schools, houses, and apartments, as examples.Regardless of the job our goal remains the same: to play our part in that project to be best of our ability, and work as a team. As a licensed trade contractor our role can vary depending on the project. Weather its one-on-one with the client to liaise back and forth during the quotation consultation and design phase, then planning our dates for site work etc. Or we may be just one part of an army of other trades working together for a common cause on a largerproject. In any case it is an expectation that we actively collaborate with those involved while upholding our values.
As with any project there can be setbacks and unforeseen hurdles that any trade must overcome.Although we aim to eliminate these at any chance, if we are presented with challenges our approach doesn’t differ. We are apart of this project, and we must work as a team.
Over the years we have built many healthy relationships with other trade business, clients, and suppliers, all of which I personally value and are highly valued within our business. For me it all comes back to doing business with likeminded, passionate people that understand the importance of team work.
